Family Support

Supporting our L4Life Families

Our team understand and appreciate that in order to achieve long-term positive and successful outcomes for a child, supporting and guiding their family/carers is an essential part of the picture.

That support can encompass policy, systemic and resource advocacy; assistance in navigating the NDIS, healthcare system and other avenues of service and support; or guiding families through the transition periods of childhood from the early years through to early adulthood.

Our staff work with current Learning for Life families to provide a holistic approach in their Learning for Life Journey by offering guidance in navigating:

  • transitions into each learning stage: from home to kinder, to primary school, secondary school and beyond school;
  • assessment, diagnosis and early intervention options and how to access these;
  • the NDIS process, including:
    • accessing and seeking an initial NDIS plan
    • changes to an NDIS plan through change in circumstance
    • Plan reviews
    • Letters of support
  • carer support and resources
  • the myriad resources available for autistic and neurodivergent children and their families
