L4Life welcomes new CEO: Nicci Godsman

12 Jun 2024

Earlier this year, we announced that founder and CEO, Pam Roy would step down this year.  Since then, Pam has remained dedicated to our community, working closely with staff, families, and supporters while we have undertaken a search for a new CEO. Today, we are thrilled to share the news of our successful appointment: Nicci Godsman will be stepping into the role of CEO at L4Life this month.

Nicci brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record as an executive leader in the education, health, and community services sectors. She has a remarkable legacy of cultivating high-performance teams and delivering superior outcomes. Her expertise in strategic growth, bolstered by strong commercial acumen and financial management skills, will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our services.

Most recently, Nicci served as the General Manager of Children’s and Family Services at Bestchance. In this role, she led a specialist school for children with social, emotional and behavioural challenges and a large allied-health team supporting over 400 children through early intervention programs and various therapies, including psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology, music therapy, and play therapy. Additionally, she oversaw a family support services team working alongside volunteers to provide advocacy, support, and care to vulnerable families.

Nicci is passionate about building partnerships based on shared values and the pursuit of excellence in service delivery. Her commitment to enhancing individual and family well-being inspires donors to invest in meaningful and transformative programs. She advocates for honesty, mutual respect, and equality, aligning perfectly with Learning for Life's ethos. Nicci's leadership style fosters joy and unity through authentic and inspired teamwork, and she is committed to driving excellence and success within our organisation through strategic planning, superior communication, and fostering a strong workplace culture.

Pam shared her thoughts on the transition: "I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together at L4Life. It has been an honour to work with such dedicated staff and supportive families. I am confident that Nicci’s leadership will continue to drive our mission forward, ensuring that every child receives the care and opportunities they deserve."

Nicci expressed her excitement about joining L4Life: "I feel truly privileged to be welcomed into the L4Life community as new CEO and expand on the incredible work of Pam and the team. I am looking forward to collaborating with the team to understand the impactful support they provide to our children, meeting the wonderful families, fostering awareness and understanding within the wider community about our mission, and continuing to create an environment where every child and young person can reach their full potential by truly being themselves."

Throughout the month of June, Nicci will collaborate with Pam to ensure a smooth transition. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Pam for her tireless efforts in guiding L4Life from its. We are excited to see Nicci take the baton and lead L4Life into its next chapter.

Nicci will be based at our Kew Centre, where she looks forward to connecting with our Village in person and online.

Stay tuned for more updates and join us in welcoming Nicci to the L4Life family!
